Yeomyung School Encourages Enrollment of New Incoming Students

Yeomyung School, a Christian school for North Korean youth, is looking for new students for the year 2005.

Yeomyung School is an alternative school for North Korean youth that offers middle and high school courses, established together by activists and twenty-three churches who have been assisting North Korean defectors since 1997

After defection, many North Korean youth face difficulties adjusting to South Korea, especially the school system which requires them to catch up with other students despite their difficulties in overcoming and adjusting to the cultural and age differences. For those North Korean youth who find themselves unable to continue neither their education nor obtaining a job, Yeomyung School has an education system that provides the students with cultural and academic training.
