Chosun Central News Agency has confirmed that Kim Jong Il has been made ‘eternal Chosun Workers’ Party General Secretary’ at the 4th Party Delegates’ Conference in Pyongyang today, a move that follows the precedent set when Kim Il Sung was made ‘eternal Premier’ following his death in 1994,
Meanwhile, Kim Jong Eun has been made 1st Secretary of the Chosun Workers’ Party, which will now become the de facto top position.
According to KCNA, “The Delegates’ Conference, accepting the last instructions of comrade Kim Jong Il, decided to take the Chosun Workers’ Party and people’s supreme leader, respected comrade Kim Jong Eun, as Chosun Workers’ Party 1st Secretary.”
