[imText1]The National Archives and Records Service under the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs held a screening on North Korean multimedia with the theme, “1945-1961, Time Travel to Pyongyang” on the 9th from 2:00 PM at the Central Government Complex Annex Building in Seoul.

The National Archives released multimedia records collected between 1945 and 1961 from abroad that centered on priceless copies that were not well known within the country.”

Among the material, the “symbolic mark” of the Chosun (North Korean) People’s Army inception was released for the first time. After July 1948 the Taegeuk shape was absent from the People’s Army symbolic mark but it was a different to see the Taegeuk shape in the center of the Great star in the first mark.

North Korea used the North Korean flag after July 1948. It was first released at the Unveiling of the Kim Il Sung statue in November 1949 and the ceremony to finalize the Soviet Union-North Korea national boundary in December 1948 was also new to see.
