‘Uriminjokkiri,’ the propaganda website run by the North Korean Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland, denounced the results of President Lee Myung Bak’s visit to the U.S. late last week in customarily harsh fashion.
As it does when denouncing the leader, President Lee was referred to as merely the ‘person in power’ in South Chosun.
Giving an interview, a spokesperson for the Committee criticized, “The person in power in South Chosun revealed his pro-American, anti-unification and confrontational stance by visiting the U.S. a few days ago.”
The spokesperson went on, “The person in power in South Chosun couldn’t speak even a single word about the rape of a girl by the American imperialist invading army, but only accepted the one-sided demands of his master, saying ‘alliance tied with blood,’ ‘allied nation,’ and so on.”
“He showed his gratitude for the passing of the KORUS FTA by the U.S. Congress, and a servile attitude by visiting the Ministry of National Defense,” he further noted, before going on to call the visit the “pathetic move of a pro-American dog on the edge of loosing public opinion trying to survive by sponging off the master.”
