“This election result is a stern judgment of the South Chosun conservative faction,” Chosun Central News Agency proclaimed this morning, following the victory of left wing independent candidate Park Won Sun in yesterday’s Seoul mayoral election.
KCNA revealed the news in an article entitled ‘Ballot Result: Independent Candidate Park Won Sun Elected Seoul Mayor and Grand National Party Candidate Na Kyung Won Defeated.’
However, KCNA is used by the North Korean regime to communicate with the outside world, and does not indicate that North Korea intends to reveal the election result to the domestic audience.
In the election, Park received 53.4% of the vote, handsomely beating Na, who got 46.2%.
