Shin Ji Ho president of Liberty Union sharply criticized on the 7th at a talk commemorating \u201cThe 20th anniversary of the June resistance,\u201d \u201cThe political atmosphere of the Roh administration is still the 1980s\u2019 version and is filled with contradiction and irrationality, so they are generally disregarded.\u201d<\/p>\n
The theme of the talk was \u201cEvaluation regarding the 20 Years of Democratization and Vision for Progress in South Korea.\u201d President Shin said, \u201cThe supporters of Roh administration which have succeeded in taking power since 1998\u2019s Presidential Election underwent four illnesses and became at risk for dismantlement. The four illnesses are exclusive mentality, double-standard, schizophrenia, and amateurism. <\/p>\n
Further, he pointed out, \u201cAuthoritarian power has significantly been dismantled through the struggle of leftists who are involved in the Roh administration and its supporters.\u201d \u201cAfter dismantling the authoritarian power, there was a movement of position from opposition forces to ruling forces, but the mentality and logic system have not been advanced at all from the past.\u201d <\/p>\n
Especially, the Roh administration\u2019s followers, more than anyone else, raised its voice at the human rights problem, but there were criticism that they showed hypocritical behavior by keeping silence at the actual North Korean human rights issue. <\/p>\n
Gu Hae Woo, the Future Foundation\u2019s Executive Secretary, pointed out, \u201cThey showed a self-centered habit while lacking themselves the advancement of democracy based on liberalism.\u201d \u201cThe followers of the party were negligent in the North Korea\u2019s human rights issue, which was yet another sacrificial lamb of the division system into the South and North.\u201d <\/p>\n
Lee Jae Gyo, Liberty Union\u2019s Assistant Representative, said, \u201cThey are devoting themselves to support the Kim Jong Il regime, which is more dogmatic than the feudal dynasty.\u201d \u201cIf they do not change their ways, the citizens will hate and disregard the conservative left-wing party who protects the Kim Jong Il regime.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
