Minister Kim revealed his remarks to President Feulner at a party meeting \u201cPresident Bush said at the Korea-U.S. high level talks in Hanoi, Vietnam that a truce declaration can be made with Dictator Kim Jong Il\u201d and that \u201cthe 3 parties, President Roh Moo Hyun, Dictator Kim Jong Il and President Bush must meet and devise a plan for a mutual truce declaration.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added \u201cIt is important that the Heritage Foundation positively investigates a plan to change the hostile situation into peace through the six party talks and another 3 party talks.\u201d<\/p>\n
Minister Kim said \u201cIf President Bush makes such a decision, the U.S. will be placing an enormous burden on South Korea and U.S. influence over the Korean Peninsula will increase\u201d and \u201cIt would be good if the U.S. could reappraise their strategy on the Korean Peninsula and East Asia.\u201d<\/p>\n
Regarding this, President Feulner replied \u201cThe truce declaration issue can be discussed in the framework of the 6 Party Talks\u201d and \u201cIt would be fitting to discuss this issue after it has been brought out into the open.\u201d<\/p>\n
Moreover, Minister Kim suggested \u201cIt would be beneficial for the president of The Heritage Foundation to opt in visiting Gaesung Industrial Complex as it drafts the U.S. republican policy\u201d and regarding the U.S. approach to the Korea-U.S. FTA urged the need for a change its position on South Korea\u2019s claim to the amendments to the statues of the trade agreement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
