Domestically produced clothing and footwear in North Korea have improved in quality and design in recent years, making cheap Chinese imports less automatically competitive. Traders watch <em>donju<\/em> reactions closely because a single positive signal can translate into a flood of purchases.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Younger buyers follow different logic. They want stylish designs at accessible prices, and their sensitivity to trends means traders who correctly read their preferences first can secure outsize profits. &#8220;Whoever brings in the right sample can effectively monopolize that segment of the market,&#8221; the source said. &#8220;Competition to lock in goods that appeal to the <em>donju<\/em> and young people is getting fiercer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Chinese suppliers are moving quickly as well.
