[imText1]On the 28th August, Hwang Jang Yop Chairman of the North Korean Democratization League appeared on a defector based broadcast, Free North Korea Broadcasting (FreeNK) stressing that the \u201cNorth Korean regime is in the process of ruin.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chairman Hwang said \u201cIt is difficult to predict when the Kim Jong Il regime will be eradicated. However by looking at the growing number of defectors, it is clear that the Kim Jong Il regime is collapsing.\u201d<\/p>\n
For a while Chairman Hwang has taken a discrete stance on the fall of the North Korean regime saying that \u201cIt will be difficult for destruction if the North Korea-China alliance is not broken.\u201d <\/p>\n
However on this day Chairman Hwang foreshadowed the possibility of a sudden collapse of the North Korean regime saying \u201cEven until now, I do not think that Kim Jong Il will breakdown easily. Lately, having observed the actions of the North Korean regime, it is difficult to predict when and how the downfall will occur.\u201d<\/p>\n
Two factors that influenced Chairman Hwang\u2019s predictions were Kim Jong Il\u2019s decision to launch the missiles and the change in the North Korea-China relationship that followed. He said \u201cThe time has come for defectors to prepare with a convinced sense of duty\u201d and stressed that large-scale preparations need to be made for the aftermath of Kim Jong Il\u2019s downfall.<\/p>\n
Using Iraq as an example, Chairman Hwang said that after the downfall of the Kim Jong Il regime if swift preparations for the people to be ideally reorganized are not made, many sacrifices will occur. He said \u201c(In this case) not only will it be difficult to achieve North Korean democratization but even here (in South Korea) many sacrifices may have to be made\u201d and discussed the critical role of defectors to erase the ways of their absolute leader.<\/p>\n
Chairman Hwang said \u201cThe minds of the people transformed by their current absolute leader, in particular partisan families and the next generation of discipled leaders cannot possibly be understood (the change in their way of thinking of their absolute leader.) Even the South Korean people cannot possibly understand what the people are experiencing.\u201d<\/p>\n
He stressed that \u201cThere is not need to put Kim Jong Il to death. What difference will it make to kill one more person. There is no need (for defectors to return to the North) to immediately abolish statues. Rather it is important (for citizens) to comprehend the blunders that have been made and unveil the root of these faults\u201d and after the regime is replaced, there is need to restrain excessive hatred and retaliation.<\/p>\n
Chairman Hwang said that \u201cThe time has now come to make real preparations\u201d and stressed that even after the fall of the North Korean regime \u201cIt would be better to leave the line of demarcation and for unification to occur 15 years after North Korea\u2019s economy is developed.\u201d <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
