A handful of pieces of what appears to be the engine of North Korea\u2019s \u201cUnha-3\u201d rocket have been recovered from the sea off the west coast of North Jeolla Province, opening up the possibility of analyzing the engine technology employed in North Korea\u2019s most advanced rocket design.<\/p>\n
A ROK military official revealed the news today, saying, \u201cWe picked up debris believed to be from the engine in the sea 160km west of Gunsan on the 27th.\u201d However, the official noted, \u201cIt appears to have been heavily damaged due to the impact.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, \u201cIf the pieces we have recovered this time are confirmed as being from the engine then they could be very useful items in analyzing North Korea\u2019s long-range rocket technology.\u201d<\/p>\n
