North Korea has unveiled its first response to the attack on Yeonpyeong Island, attempting to shift responsibility for it onto South Korean shoulders. <\/p>\n
Chosun Central News Agency (KCNA) reported a statement from North Korean military high command at 7P.M. today, four hours after the attack, in which it claimed that the attack represented a military response to a South Korean provocation. <\/p>\n
According to the statement, \u201cIn a military provocation, the South Korean puppets started firing over the region of the Yeonpyeong Island in the Chosun West Sea from 13:00, despite our repeated warnings.\u201d <\/p>\n
It went on, \u201cOur revolutionary forces responded to the puppets\u2019 military provocation with firm military measures and strong, rapid physical blows.\u201d <\/p>\n
The KCNA report then added, \u201cDealing with the warmonger\u2019s fire with merciless thunder is our military\u2019s conventional way of reacting,\u201d adding, \u201cThe South Chosun puppets should listen carefully to the solemn warnings of our revolutionary forces.\u201d <\/p>\n
It added, \u201cIn future, there will be only the military demarcation line designated by us in the Chosun West Sea,\u201d before threatening, \u201cIf the South Chosun puppets invade even 0.001\u339c of the fatherland\u2019s territorial waters, our revolutionary forces will issue merciless military counter-blows without hesitation.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
