Unification Media Group, the head of a consortium that includes Daily NK, is currently looking for a Communications Manager to help manage the organization’s stakeholders, including management of donor piplines and reports.

Team Manager / Communications

●      Position : Team Manager / Communications / Unification Media Group

●      Where : Mangwon-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul (5 minutes walk from Mangwon Sub. St.)

●      Working conditions: 5 working days, 3 months’ probation, Annual negotiation on salary, 4 major insurances covered, Retirement pension, Foreign work permit

●      Requirements : Fully fluent in English and Korean, Work experiences at international organization, Strong interests in human rights issue on North Korea, Communication skills, Entrepreneurship, Flexible and open-minded, Time-management

●      Main Responsibilities : Managing stakeholders including donors’ pipelines and reports submission, Aligning with stakeholders including frequent communication and public relations, Overseeing events and campaigns, Translation, Meeting Interpretation, etc.

About 20 staff members are working together to make valuable impact on human rights issue for North Korea. Our main stakeholders are: about 600 individual donors, governmental organizations from Europe, US government, International organizations, etc.

  1. Radio program production for North Korean and Shortwave dispatch (3 hours/ Daily)
  2. Media contents production on human rights issue, defectors, North Korean society, North Korean politics, etc. (diverse formats including webtoon, video, etc.)
  3. Advocacy on International campaigns for freedom of information in North Korea, Research on media environments in North Korea
  4. Activity on facilitating the free flow of information into, out of, and within North Korea, Research and Analysis on diverse methods for free flow of information into, out of, and within North Korea
