Kim Jong Eun Appears Live at 65th Anniv. Parade

Kim Jong Eun appeared with Kim Jong Il at this morning’s military parade to commemorate the 65th founding day of the Chosun Workers’ Party in Pyongyang. Unprecedentedly, the entire event was broadcast live across the country.

At 9:40 A.M. Kim appeared on the podium in Kim Il Sung Square, to the right side of his father. To their right was Minister of the People’s Armed Forces Kim Young Chun.

Kim Jong Eun appeared in his already customary dark suit in the style of that of Kim Il Sung, and saluted with Kim Jong Il as approximately 20,000 soldiers marched past.

Chosun Central Broadcast and Pyongyang Broadcast (the two state radio stations) and Chosun Central TV covered the event between 9:30 and 11:18 A.M.

Kim Jong Eun also took part in another standard event on the 9th, a commemorative convention of the Central Committee of the Party.

The only previous events the North Korean media is known to have broadcast live are the performance of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra in Pyongyang in February, 2008 and two games in this year’s World Cup.
