Charity concert for North Korean defector students to be held on March 28

A charity concert for North Korean defector students will be held at 7:30pm at the headquarters of Fursys (Ogeum-dong, Seoul) on March 28 (Tuesday). The concert will be hosted by NAUH (Now, Action & Unity for NK Human Rights), an organization for North Korean human rights, and is sponsored by KOMO Berlin, a Germany-based organization for North Korean human rights. The event aims to increase awareness about North Korean defector students who have settled in South Korea, and raise funds for a variety of support programs for them. Anyone can participate in the event, which is free of charge.
Ji Sung Ho, Director of NAUH said, “It has been six years since we began efforts to improve human rights for the North Korean people through events like street campaigns. We wouldn’t have been able to continue these efforts without the support of many people, and this concert is also a small token gratitude.”
NAUH was founded in 2010 by youth from both Koreas, and supports rescue projects to aid North Korean defectors who have escaped to China.
