East-West Center Hosts ‘Engaging North Korea’ Lecture

North Korea,
” a lecture delving into the evolution of North
Korea
s economic relationships with China and Russia
since the onset of its nuclear crisis in 2002, will be given from 12:00 p.m. to
1:00 p.m. on February 24th in East-West Center [located in Honolulu, Hawaii] by
Dr. Stephan Haggard and Dr. Marcus Noland.
 

Dr. Haggard is a professor of Korea-Pacific
studies in University of California San Diego, and Dr. Noland is the vice
president of Peter Institute for International Economics. The event, scheduled to take place in John A. Burns Hall, room 3015, will focus on how North Korea
s nuclear crisis has affected the countrys
economic reform and security issues.
