NK Ratchets Up Nuclear Threats over U.N. Resolution

Pyongyang threatened on Sunday to launch an
uncompromising countermove against the passing of a draft resolution by a U.N.
committee regarding human rights abuses in the North.

The countrys
all-powerful National Defense Commission issued a statement saying,
Our military and people fully reject and denounce the draft
resolution manipulated by the U.S. and its puppets at the U.N.,
according to the state mouthpiece, Chosun Central News Agency
[KCNA].

Human rights are in other words,
independence and the sovereignty of a state,
the
commission said, declaring the passing of the draft resolution to be
the most blatant declaration of war, threatening the country.

The European Union [EU] and 60 other
countries jointly proposed the draft, which passed with 111 voting for, 19 against,
and 55 abstaining, on North Korea
s human rights
violations.

The first target of our counterattack will
be the U.S.
the defense commission said. A few days ago, we displayed humanitarian generosity towards several
U.S. citizens, but it has returned that action with this madness about human
rights, and therefore, it has become clear that it will be the first target to
receive a shower of revenge with no mercy.

The commission also called on the Obama
administration to kneel in front of the North and offer a sincere apology,
while lashing out at additional states.
This is also a
proclamation against Japan, the EU, and the Park Geun Hye administration, to
let them know they will not go unharmed, and it
s also
a warning for the U.N. to take fair post-actions.

The defense commission stepped up its
nuclear threats toward the South, referring to the South Korean president
directly by name.
I would like to question Park Geun
Hye
s mob, which is acting up and doesnt seem to know how to keep its mouth shut, as if theres something to celebrate in regards to this draft against the North, the commission said, If nuclear war breaks
out on this soil, do they think [the presidential office of] Cheong Wa Dae will
be safe?

It added, The U.N.
needs to remember the some 20 years ago when we made the thunderous nuclear
declaration of justice in order to protect the highest interests of our
Republic.
This warning likely refers to Pyongyangs pull-out from the Non-Proliferation Treaty [NPT] back in 1993,
giving further weight to concerns that the North may be planning to carry out a
fourth nuclear test in the near future.

These concerns were first raised on the
20th, where in a statement issued by its foreign ministry, the North announced,
Americas aggression toward
Chosun [North Korea] has made us incapable of further holding back on nuclear
tests, and in this environment, our war deterrence capabilities will be
strengthened with no limits to act against forceful intervention and invasion
plots from the U.S.

While slamming South Korea, the U.S. and other involved parties, the North
expressed its gratitude toward other states, namely China and Russia, that
voted against the draft resolution.
We are deeply
grateful for this and will never forget it,
the
defense commission statement read.
