The North Korean soccer team trounced Uzbekistan on October 20th to advance to the final round of the U-19 Asian Football Confederation [AFC] Championship held in Yangon, Myanmar.
North Korean player, Cho Kwang Myung,
scored the opening goal in the first five minutes of the match, followed by another in the same half to put the team in a 2-0 lead.
Cho went on to complete a hat trick during
the second half of the game; Kim Yoo Sung and So Jung Hyuk each scored the
remaining two goals, closing out the match in a 5-0 victory for North Korea.
The North Korean team will go on to fight
for the championship trophy against the Qatari team on October 23rd.
