Everyone knows that North Korea receives aid from China, by some estimates as much as 700,000 tons of grain per year. Recently, Iran also announced plans to weigh in with a delivery of powdered milk and medical items following news of starvation deaths in South Hwanghae Province.

Naturally, aid of this sort is good when it feeds the impoverished people who need it most. Let’s hope that this Chinese and Iranian aid does exactly that, or else North Korea might end up looking even more like today’s unique take on the Leonardo da Vinci classic, ‘The Last Supper’...
