On the 29th, due to heavy rainfall, Anju city of South Pyongan Province of North Korea experienced severe storm damage, which left streets flooded and buildings nearly destroyed. Chosun Central News Agency reported the following day, “The city of Anju, located on the west coast, was struck by torrential downpours on the 29th, flooding numerous public buildings and houses, as well as waterlogging farmland, with the extent of damage to the harvest yet to be seen.” (©KCNA)
