[imText1]Hwang Jang Yop, chairman of North Korean Democratization Alliance, said that South Korean society is falling into an uproar over the North Korean missile launch.
At a student and youth gathering around Seoul on the 27th, Chairman Hwang asserted that in relation to the missile situation, “Everyone is being deceived by Kim Jong Il. Completely ignoring his threats is a critical aspect in solving this problem.”
He said that “Kim Jong Il’s greatest fear is disinterest by the international community in North Korea’s military power. In relation to the missile situation, there is no need to worry.” Furthermore, he emphasized that “If the missiles are launched, then in accordance with policy, the U.S. and Japan can cooperate and impose sanctions”
During Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister, Ban Ki Moon’s visit to China to discuss the issue of missiles, he affirmed that “Going to reason with Kim Jong Il because of foreign policy, is toady policy.”
Chairman Hwang, did not hesitate to speak upon the issue of Kim Dae Jung’s visit to North Korea.
He deplored that “The President of South Korea, Kim Dae Jung, who goes to visit Kim Jong Il, considering him as the legitimate leader of a nation… however, the more surprising thing is the acceptance of South Korean society where people adore Kim Dae Jung”.
He pointed out that “Dictators practice using self-interested policies and strategies that are meticulously deceptive” and “Kim Jong Il is not a leader of the nation but a person of cowardice”.
