Kim Pays Tribute at Kumsusan, Kim Yo Jong and Ri Sol Ju Absent

Kim Jong Eun visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, which serves as the Kim family mausoleum, to pay tribute on the date marking the late leader’s birthday [February 16th] , Rodong Sinmun reported today.

The article stated that floral baskets in both the name of Kim Jong Eun and the Chosun Workers’ Party were placed before the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, displaying a number of photos featuring the young leader paying his respects and surrounded by various officials.

Kim Jong Eun was accompanied by Hwang Pyong So, Hyon
Yong Chol, Ri Yong Gil, Kim Won Hong, So Hong Chan, Kim Chun Sam, Pak Yong Sik,
Ryom Chol Song, and a number of other officers in the Chosun People’s Army.
 

Interestingly, in line with last year, Kim
Jong Eun’s wife, Ri Sol Ju, and his younger sister, Kim Yo Jong, a vice
department director in the Central Committee of the ruling Chosun Workers’
Party, were not in attendance.
