Jang Executed Following Military Tribunal

The North Korean media has announced that
Jang Sung Taek, who was publicly arrested during a meeting of the full
Politburo of the Party Central Committee on December 8th, has been
executed following a Ministry of State Security military tribunal. 

An extensive article on the trial
judgment carried moments ago by Chosun Central News Agency states that Jang was convicted
of factionalism and plotting to overthrow the state. H
e was sentenced to death
in accordance with North Korean law, and the judgment was “carried out immediately.”
