It has been reported that Jung Dong Young, the Minister of Unification, in the conference held on October 31, at the School of Public Administration of Sogang University, praised Kim Jong Il by saying, “Chairman of the Defense Commission Kim Jong Il is a leader with big hand.”
Minister Jung Dong Young’s compliments seem inadequate for the worst dictator of the present time who has led to death of three million people out of starvation only for the maintenance of his hereditary dictatorship. If the millions of North Koreans who are lying under frozen ground found out about Jung’s praise on Kim Jong Il, they will shout furiously, “Jung Dong Young, a human trash and a slave of dictator who deserves to be gun shot to death.”
'Leader with a Big Hand', One of Propagandistic Expression from North Korea
“Kim Jong Il, a leader with a big hand” is a well-known propagandistic expression in North Korea, made for idolization of Kim Jong Il for the purpose of brainwashing the civilians. It was made during the process of building the “wide politics” (meaning embracing politics, political rule over wide range of society). Perhaps as a former reporter himself, or perhaps because he became a slave of Kim Jong Il after his first and only meeting with him, Minister Jung now repeats the slogan as a parrot.
His remark evidences his own evil mental state, enabling him to praise an evil dictator as having a “big hand.” Although it is not difficult to guess why Jung is saying such things (for personal political goals), considering that he is in a position where he has to think of the North Korean people too, as a minister of unification, his praise of Kim Jong Il is too farfetched.
Choi Su Hun, vice-minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the UNICEF conference held in Beijing in May 2001, officially reported that 220,000 died due to starvation. It was proved by the defectors’ testimonies, surveys and studies that the number of people starved to death reach up to three million.
Despite the desperate situation, Kim Jong Il used $890 million dollars only to decorate Kim Jong Il’s dead body. How could anybody praise such a deed?
Even today, Kim Jong Il is more interested in nuclear development than the well being of the people. What Kim Jong Il needs is maintenance of his dictatorship and what he desires is to make South Koreans his slaves. For this reason, Kim shouts “Our brethren only” and “Minjok (Brethren) Cooperation.”
Is the Current Administration Reaching Out to the 23 million North Korean People or Kim Jong Il?
The government of South Korea has a big animal called “the National Human Rights Commission of Korea” but still its minister does not hesitate to praise the world’s worst dictator as “a leader with a big hand.” Where are human rights in such a dictatorship? South Korea had been insulted for the past year by the government of North Korea, but after a single session of the six-party talks, to be precisely, after Minister Jung met Kim Jong Il, the government of South Korea has turned entirely friendly towards North Korea. The government of South Korea promised North Korea to provide “two million kilo watts” of electricity and other necessities (for the maintenance of the North’s dictator regime) if North Korea promises to abandon its nuclear.
Taking a step further, however, now a South Korean minister is publicly praising the dictator’s craziness. Is the Ministry of Unification with Jung Dong Young aims to “unify” with the dictator?
Is the current government aiming for unification with the dictator instead of the North Korean people? If so, the end is foreseeable; a “crazy dictator with a big hand” will rule the entire Korea.
Jung Dong Young, a South Korean minister who praises a dictator that killed millions of people, must step down at once. He must apologize to the North Korean people suffering in the gulags, starved to death, and publicly executed under the Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il’s hereditary dictatorship.
