It was revealed today that on the 7th Seoul prosecutors indicted a spy disguised as a defector on charges of violating the National Security Law.

The 50-year old male, who arrived in South Korea in June, admitted to being a North Korean spy while under investigation upon his arrival, acknowledging that he was working for the National Security Agency (NSA). The status of a female he travelled with is still under investigation.

For the last fifteen years prior to his arrival in South Korea, the man had allegedly been working in China under orders from the NSA to keep watch on key South Korean figures in China and report on defectors.

The NSA is responsible for uncovering anti-state activities and managing the North Korean network of political prison camps.
