Clinton Waiting for Real Change to Come

The U.S. has yet to be convinced that North Korea is pursuing the path of change, according to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Clinton, who was attending the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in Vladivostok on the 9th, commented that while there is talk of economic reform in North Korea, the U.S. does not yet see it as evidence of real change.

Clinton also moved to emphasize that although improving livelihoods and denuclearization are both important to the U.S., Washington DC is not prepared to accept economic reform as an alternative to denuclearization.
