President Lee Myung Bak gave positive assessments on China¡¯s position of North Korea¡¯s long-range rocket launch today.

President Lee at the breakfast meeting with security scholars and experts at the Blue House said to the participants, ¡°China¡¯s move was not negative¡± and gave positive assessments on China¡¯s policy towards the Korean Peninsula.

President Lee also revealed, ¡°China¡¯s role is very important in the Peninsula¡±, ¡°We have to take good care of Korea-China relations¡±.

China cooperated adopting the presidential statement and clearly stated that North Korea¡¯s rocket launch is a violation of the UN Security Council Resolutions.

Last month at the South Korea-China summit on the 26th, Chinese President Hu Jintao pointed out that, ¡°For North Korea to spend a lot of money on its rocket launch not taking care of the economy of people¡¯s livelihood is inappropriate¡±.

Participants at the meeting evaluated that after North Korea¡¯s rocket launch, South Korea-U.S.-China¡¯s cooperation has relatively been going well.

Officials have said that preparations from South Korea must be undergoing in case of North Korea¡¯s third nuclear test.

President Lee this day listened to expert¡¯s opinion on countermeasures following North Korea¡¯s recent long-range rocket launch and also North Korea¡¯s future trends, direction and inter-Korea relations.

Pradhuman The Chinese leadership has betrayed many allies and friends in the past. The whole idea of Unification for the Chinese would be their greatest nightmare come true as a United Korea would no longer accept the Chinese dominion in the region.
This reaffirms the fact that PLA has encroached upon Vietnamese, Russian, Tibetan and Indian land in the past despite each of these nations being supportive of the Chinese people and culture. 2012-04-18 18:40:44
danelle Why NK has to power to say and do whatever it likes? Other 5 countries have involved in six party talk are all talking murmurous slowly. No proper talk at all. NK won't take the shit. China and US-Japan are just fooling around cannot get the substances of firming result after conferences. Nk still eating up inching in and in to further up its demand for more aid or increment of missile testing if aid of food agreement is broken. This is really too much and waste of time. Be firmly and settle it once for all is the solid and necessary action to let NK bend it spine bone.
This regime is just have too much time and energy to drag on its play rascally. If carelessly get into trap, then more time and lives will be sacrificed. Because people of NK are crying for change for brighter future. On top of it, they are starving all the time. Give them a chance to live happily is what they want. 2012-04-18 17:59:45
