Two Men Charged over Illegal Car Exports

Two Japanese men have been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to export second hand luxury cars to North Korea, according to Japanese broadcaster NHK.

According to today’s NHK report, the suspects are two men, one from a second hand car company based in Sakaiminato, part of Tottori Prefecture, and the second from a company based in Fukuyama, Hiroshima Prefecture.

The two allegedly exported five second-hand luxury German cars worth approximately $73,000 through the port at Kobe to North Korea by way of China.
