North Suggests March Religious Exchanges

North Korea today suggested that religious exchanges be held during March between four North Korean groups and fourteen from South Korea in Beijing or Shenyang, according to the Ministry of Unification.

A Ministry of Unification spokesperson revealed the news this morning, telling a regular briefing, “North Korea has suggested having some exchanges with South Korean religious groups. As yet there has been no final acceptance from the relevant department, but if the suggestion is reviewed positively by those religious groups and fits their schedules then we would expect to accept it.”

“They suggested four groups; Chosun Christian Alliance, Chosun Religious Council, Chosun Catholic Council and Chosun Buddhist Alliance,” the spokesperson added.
