An exhibition of photography about the Daughter of Tongyeong, Shin Suk Ja, her two children and the state of North Korean human rights opens tomorrow in Seoul.
The opening of the exhibition, which has been organized by NKnet, was commemorated with a ceremony this morning at Seoho Gallery in Insadong. The event will also be taken to Busan Station (November 7-9), Daejeon Station (17-18) and Chonbuk National University (22-24).
Elsewhere, November 10-11 also sees another NKnet event, the 2011 Seoul North Korean Human Rights International Film Festival at the Lee Hae Rang Art Theater, Donguk University.
The festival will see the showing of films including Winter Butterfly, Tumen River, Children of Yangkang Province and the closest thing to a classic in North Korean human rights cinema, Crossing. A number of documentary short films have also been produced especially for the occasion.
