Togetherness Foundation to give free employment advice to defectors

The Togetherness Foundation has announced that it is recruiting participants for its third Sales and Services Expert Education Seminar to assist North Korean defectors in the process of finding a stable job. The chairman of the foundation is Jang Hyeong Ok. 

The employment assistance seminar, sponsored by Hyosung Group and the Community Chest of Korea, will run for four weeks from August 28 to September 22. 

The educational series will cover topics including esume writing, self-introductions, interview skills, service practice and theory, and employment agencies. 

To apply to be a participant in the series, candidates are encouraged to call (02-883-7415), email (job24@hanmail.net), or visit the office in person: 3rd Floor, Ohmok-ro 198, Yangchen-gu, Seoul. The application period will last until August 25. 

We aim to provide systematic education so that even defectors without much background knowledge on sales and services will be able to develop the skills and qualifications to become successful applicants in this field, Defector Support Center Manager Choi Gyeong-il said.

The Togetherness Foundation was established in 2007 and is South Koreas only civil group dedicated to helping defectors find steady employment.
