Protect the NLL for Korea’s Security

South Korean President Lee Myung Bak said this morning, “Safeguarding the Northern Limit Line (NLL) means ensuring national security and is a way to keep the peace.”

Making his 103rd internet and radio address, Lee declared, “Without strong security, we cannot guarantee economic stability and a comfortable life for the people. South Korea must continue to evolve based on strong security.”

Discussing his own visit to Yeonpyeong Island last month, he went on, “I encouraged the marines who fought bravely at the time of the Yeonpyeong-do shelling, and would like to take this opportunity to express my deep sympathy to those soldiers who were injured and family who lost their loved ones.”
